LUCKNOW, June 14 -- A birthday celebration at a bar in Lucknow's Sushant Golf City ended with a man firing in the air outside the venue before fleeing, police said on Saturday. According to a police statement, the incident took place after midnight on June 13, outside Jannat Bar and Restaurant near Millennium City. Police said Saurabh Singh Chauhan, a resident of Mohanlalganj, had arrived at the bar with three friends to celebrate a birthday. "During the party, members of the group allegedly attempted to repeatedly climb onto a console inside the establishment and dance, despite objections from the bouncers," the statement read. The disagreement soon escalated into a heated argument, following which the group was asked to leave the premises. As they were exiting, Chauhan allegedly took out a firearm from his black Scorpio SUV and fired a round into the air before driving away, police said. The gunshot caused panic among patrons and passers-by, though no one was injured. "Three of Chauhan's associates - Sudhanshu Yadav, Aman Yadav and Vinayak Yadav - were detained and are being questioned. Some bouncers sustained minor injuries during the altercation," added DCP South Amit K Anand. "A case has been registered on the complaint of the bar management, and teams have been formed to arrest the main accused. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and recording statements of witnesses to establish the sequence of events," a police statement read. The incident comes close on the heels of the high-profile Vibhuti Khand nightclub brawl that began over an extra cigarette and later culminated in the murder of a BJYM leader, triggering disciplinary action against the local SHO and ACP....
