Haridwar, Sept. 22 -- A couple from Bijnor was arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of a a 50-year-old man whose body was found in a forest near Doodiyanandh in Haridwar district last week, police said on Monday. SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar identified the accused as Narendra Prakash (40) and Annu (36) from UP's Bijnor. He said the deceased, Gopal Charan (50), also from Bijnor, was killed after he allegedly began threatening to leak private clips of the woman after maintaining an extramarital relationship with her which began after he intervened financially to help her while her husband was in hospital a few months prior. Bhullar said Annu allegedly called Gopal to Haridwar on September 16. Around midnight, after Gopal had consumed liquor, Narendra allegedly stabbed him to death, disposed of his mobile phone and purse and both fled the spot,he added....
