LUCKNOW, Sept. 10 -- In a push to foster a positive educational environment, the Uttar Pradesh basic education department has announced a state-wide initiative to recognise and reward student achievement across its 1,31,918 government-run schools. As part of the Annual Work Plan and Budget for 2026-27, schools will host award distribution ceremonies between February 15 and March 15, 2027. The state government aims to provide a platform for every talent, ensuring that students excelling in academics, athletics, cultural events, or school attendance are duly acknowledged. "Through these award distribution ceremonies, we aim to encourage students who have performed outstandingly in academics.
