Banda at 45.6degC hottest again for 2nd day
LUCKNOW, April 29 -- Banda remained the hottest place in both the state and the country for the second consecutive day-and the sixth day overall this April-recording a temperature of 45.6deg C.
The forecast for Lucknow is a partly cloudy sky likely with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers on Tuesday. It will bring down the day temperature to 38deg C.
Since April 18 this year, the maximum temperature in Lucknow was hovering in excess of 40deg C.
On Tuesday, the day temperature dropped to below 40deg C mark to 39.7deg C and minimum of 26.4deg C. The last time Lucknow day temperature was recorded below the 40 degrees mark was on April 17 when it was 39.8deg C.
There is a forecast for rain in parts of West UP, while a few districts experienced rain on Tuesday.
Consequently, the day temperature in many West UP districts fell a few notches bringing respite to citizens.
District Jhansi experienced 6.9 mm rainfall, Pali in Lalitpur 3 mm, Hamirpur 1 mm while district Agra, Aligarh, Auraiya, Firozabad, Mathura, Mahoba experienced trace rainfall.
The forecast for Wednesday is rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places over the West-UP and at a few places in East-UP.
A warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) is very likely at isolated places over the West-UP.
