Lucknow, May 8 -- BJP MLA from Bahraich and former Uttar Pradesh minister Anupama Jaiswal was discharged from Medanta Hospital in Lucknow on Wednesday after recovering from burn injuries sustained during a political protest involving effigy burning recently. Jaiswal had suffered thermal burns to her face and scalp while participating in the demonstration and was immediately admitted to hospital for specialized treatment and observation. Doctors treating her said the MLA responded positively to advanced burn care and infection management protocols during her hospitalization.
