VARANASI, Sept. 25 -- Azamgarh senior superintendent of police Anil Kumar on Thursday announced he would adopt the two daughters of Arvind Singh, who was killed in an encounter after allegedly killing four people in Sambhupur village on Wednesday, and will take care of his elderly mother. Kumar said, "I am adopting the two daughters and will take care of the elderly mother of Arvind Singh who was killed in an encounter following the tragic incident of murder of three people at Shambhupur village." Kumar announced that he will donate a month's salary to the family, and all police personnel in the district will donate a day's salary so that a fixed deposit can be made in the names of the two girls. Kumar said the two girls will also get a monthly amount under Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana as National Family benefit schemes.
