Ayurveda teams screen 16k people in Chitrakoot
VARANASI, Sept. 14 -- A team of 150 Ayurveda experts, led by Prof Manish Mishra, screened over 16,000 people in 65 camps across remote forest and rural areas of Chitrakoot and Banda during a four-day healthcare campaign by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad, in collaboration with the Ayush ministry. Over 13,000 patients, including 6,205 men and 7,446 women, received free medicines and advice. Camps covered Manikpur, Mau, Karvi, Ramnagar, Chitrakoot and Pahadi blocks. Patients were treated for respiratory, skin, digestive, nutritional, joint and other ailments, besides women's menstrual problems. Participants included experts, residents, interns and students from BHU, Government Ayurveda College Varanasi, Atarra, Apex Ayurveda College Mirzapur and others....
