VARANASI, March 8 -- Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati launched the 'Gau Pratishtha Dharm Yudh Shankhnaad Yatra' from Varanasi on Saturday, demanding a complete ban on cow slaughter in Uttar Pradesh. Before beginning the yatra, Avimukteshwaranand and his disciples visited Sankatmochan Temple in the morning, where they collectively recited Hanuman hymns and offered prayers at the Ram Darbar. The four-day march will cover more than a dozen meeting points across six districts, starting with Jaunpur, Sultanpur and Rae Bareli on day one.
