PRAYAGRAJ, April 18 -- The re-examination for recruitment to 910 assistant professor posts in government-aided degree colleges of Uttar Pradesh under Advertisement No. 51 will be held on April 18 and 19 across 53 examination centres in six districts-Agra, Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur-in four shifts. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission chairman, retired DGP Prashant Kumar, reviewed preparations on Friday. The mobile numbers of principals of all 53 centres, along with selected commission officials, have been placed under surveillance to ensure a fair and cheating-free examination. The chairman said security agencies have been put on alert to monitor suspicious activity and anti-social elements. In a pilot initiative aimed at improving transparency, OMR answer sheets will be scanned immediately after each shift at five centres in the Prayagraj division: Mary Wanamaker Girls Inter College, Seva Samiti Vidya Mandir Inter College (Rambagh), Colonelganj Inter College, Agrasen Inter College (Lukerganj), and Prayag Mahila Vidyapeeth Inter College. The digital records will be securely stored, and may be cross-verified with original OMR sheets if required. Officials said that if successful, the system may be extended to all future examinations conducted by the Commission.
