Apna Dal (K) to play key role in forming next UP govt: Pallavi
PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 5 -- Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) will play a key role in the formation of the next government in Uttar Pradesh after the 2027 assembly elections, said Sirathu MLA and party leader Pallavi Patel while addressing a rally in Prayagraj on Wednesday.
Addressing a large gathering at the Sardar Patel Sansthan ground in Alopibagh on the occasion of the party's foundation day, Pallavi said the party had consistently raised people's concerns through issue-based movements and campaigns across Uttar Pradesh, particularly on education, healthcare and employment.
She said public expectations from Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) had increased as the party had strengthened its organisation over the past few years and continued its fight against the ruling dispensation.
"Now is the time to build strong opposition unity and remove the BJP's double-engine government. Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) will play an important role in this effort. The next government in Uttar Pradesh, after the 2027 assembly elections, will be formed with the support of our party," she said.

"Without strengthening education, development is not possible," she said, citing former President APJ Abdul Kalam as an example of how education could transform the country.

Accusing the government of lacking the political will to strengthen education, she said the law framed in connection with UGC regulations had been caught up in legal complications because of the government's approach.
Raising concerns over industrial closures and unemployment, Pallavi referred to sugar mills and Elgin Mills, saying their closure had created livelihood challenges for workers.
Referring to workers' protests in Noida, she said labourers were demanding their rights and prescribed wages but their grievances were not being heard. She also questioned the privatisation of institutions such as LIC, BSNL and airports.
Pallavi said a caste census was necessary to ensure that all communities received rights and representation in proportion to their population....
