Dehradun, June 6 -- Uttarakhand government has directed the school education department to terminate all attachments of teachers and non-teaching staff by June 30 and ensure that personnel posted away from their original places of appointment return to their parent institutions, school education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said on Friday. He issued the directions during a departmental review meeting, stressing that the state government would take strict measures to ensure accountability and the optimal utilisation of human resources in government schools "All teachers attached to various schools, departmental offices or other departments must return to their parent schools. Directions have been issued to departmental officials to terminate all such attachments by June 30," Rawat said. Rawat warned that strict action would be taken against any teacher who fails to return to their designated place of posting within the stipulated period. Meanwhile, Rawat has ordered a probe into alleged irregularities in the Mid-Day Meal scheme following complaints received from public representatives and local residents. "Irregularities in a scheme associated with the nutrition and well-being of students are a serious matter.
