LUCKNOW, Oct. 20 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav will visit Rampur on October 22 to meet jailed party veteran Azam Khan and his family, in a politically significant outreach ahead of the 2027 UP assembly polls. According to the SP's official itinerary, Yadav will leave Lucknow's Amausi Airport at 11 am on a private aircraft and reach Bareilly airport by 11.45 am. He will then take a helicopter to Jauhar University in Rampur. Yadav is scheduled to reach Rampur District Jail and meet Khan. He will leave around 1.30 pm and reach Khan's residence on Jail Road by 1.45 pm to meet his family. After leaving the residence at 2.30 pm, Yadav will return to Bareilly via Jauhar University and fly back to Lucknow. The development follows a recent meeting between Khan's wife, Tazeen Fatma, and Yadav in Lucknow. Fatma had described it as a courtesy and family meeting and said Yadav could visit Rampur when his schedule permitted.
