Agra Ambedkar University launches eight online degree programmes
AGRA, Sept. 12 -- As part of its digital initiative, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, has introduced eight online degree programmes for working professionals and students living at a distance. Vice-chancellor prof Ashu Rani said the courses would be conducted by the university's Centre for distance and online education.
The programmes include BBA, BCA, BCom, MBA, MCA, MCom, MA (Sociology) and MBA in Travel and tourism management. She said the courses were designed keeping in mind students' need for greater flexibility.
"Higher education needs to adopt the changes, aspirations and life conditions of the modern era and broaden its reach to students facing geographical and time constraints," she said. Prof Sharad Upadhayay, director of the centre for distance and online education, said the eight courses were a major extension of the university's digital approach.
The admission process is under way and aspirants can apply online through the university's portal, he said....
