Gorakhpur, Aug. 11 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath heard on Monday the grievances of around 200 people at a Janata Darshan here and directed officials to resolve the complaints within a stipulated time frame. At the programme at Mahant Digvijay Nath Smriti Bhawan on the Gorakhnath Temple premises, Yogi received applications and forwarded them to the concerned officials. He also ordered strict legal action in cases involving alleged illegal occupation of land. Several people sought financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses. Yogi assured them that lack of funds would not hinder treatment and directed officials to obtain treatment estimates from hospitals and forward the cases for assistance from the Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund. The chief minister, who arrived in Gorakhpur on Saturday, also reviewed flood preparedness with district officials. He directed them to monitor rivers and vulnerable areas and ensure the availability of boats, rescue equipment, medicines, foodgrains and other essential supplies in flood-prone areas....
