AGRA, Aug. 31 -- An FIR has been registered against eight people at Roravar police station in Aligarh in connection with a property dispute involving properties owned by different individuals, including film actor Chandrachur Singh. The case relates to alleged forgery in the preparation of an unregistered will concerning the property. Chandrachur Singh's brother, Abhimanyu Singh, is the complainant in the case. The FIR was registered under Sections 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Roravar police station. Chandrachur Singh and his brother Abhimanyu Singh were in Aligarh on Saturday to record their statements before the police in connection with the FIR, which was registered on August 14. "The FIR is against seven named accused, including my aunt and uncle who forged an unregistered will in the name of my grandfather, Late Harendra Pal Singh to misappropriate the family properties when in fact my grandfather was not in condition to sign and execute the will prepared by forgery," stated Chandrachur Singh while talking to the media in Aligarh. Those named in the FIR are Gayatri Devi (aunt of actor Chandrachur Singh), Jai Singh, Anjani Singh, Robin Akesson, Sandeep Kumar Singh, Shiv Kumar, Ajeet Singh Tomar and one unidentified. According to the FIR (copy of which is with HT), film actor Chandrachud Singh and his brother Abhimanyu Singh has alleged that the accused are guilty of commission of offences of forgery of an unregistered will dated 30.01.1997 beside other documents to support their illegal title over property.
