AC E-buses launched between key city routes, airport
LUCKNOW, April 2 -- The Lucknow City Transport Services Limited (LCTSL) flagged off four air-conditioned electric buses connecting the airport with key parts of the city.
Passengers travelling to and from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport will now have a cheaper and more convenient transport option, as two buses will link the airport to Awadh Bus Stand (Kamta) via Transport Nagar, Utretiya, Ahimamau and Ekana Stadium and back, while the other two buses will run up to Engineering College through Alambagh, Charbagh, Hazratganj and Nishatganj.
All four buses will originate from the airport, travel to their respective terminal points in the city, and then return to the airport, ensuring round connectivity for passengers between 7 am and 7 pm.
Amarnath Sahai, managing director, LCTSL, said the initiative will benefit travellers by offering a reliable and economical travel option.
Passengers can also track bus movement in real time through the ECITYBUS UP mobile application. Sahai added that expansion plans are in place and timings may be extended till midnight as passenger demand increases.
