ABVP takes out 150-metre Tiranga Yatra
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 9 -- The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Saturday organised a Tiranga Yatra here from Medical College crossing to Subhash Chauraha on Saturday to mark 150 years of the national song 'Vande Mataram'.
A large number of students, youth and ABVP volunteers participated in the march, carrying a 150-metre-long Tricolour. The yatra began with the national anthem and slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
ABVP Kashi state secretary Shivam Singh said the yatra aimed to promote the spirit of 'Nation First' among youth and encourage them to contribute to nation-building. "Vande Mataram is not merely a national song; it represents India's freedom consciousness, cultural identity and spirit of patriotism. The completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram is a matter of pride for every Indian," Singh said.
