A week on, Kamta outpost in-charge, retdCRPF personnel continue to evade arrest
Lucknow, June 21 -- More than a week after an alleged cryptocurrency investment fraud-cum-robbery racket involving serving and former uniformed personnel was exposed, Lucknow Police are yet to arrest Kamta outpost in-charge Mohit Kumar and retired CRPF personnel Jai Prakash. Mohit was suspended on Friday night.
Police have formed six teams and are conducting raids across multiple districts. Investigators allege the gang lured businessmen with promises of high returns on cryptocurrency investments before staging fake STF raids using a Bolero with forged number plates, threatening victims with arrest and robbing them of cash and valuables. Four accused Javed Hussain, Asif, Pravesh Tripathi and constable Puran Singh-have been arrested, while the role of a dismissed PAC jawan and other suspects is under investigation...
