711 register for LDA's Narmada apartment
LUCKNOW, Feb. 24 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) received 711 applicants for its premium housing project, Narmada Apartment, which offers 300 flats and 12 penthouses. The authority opened registrations from January 24 to February 23, 2026, an LDA press release said on Monday.
Earlier, in a previous press statement, the authority called the said project an upcoming 'luxury' apartment. Following backlash, the LDA stepped back and now calls it premium housing.
Prathamesh Kumar, LDA vice-chairman, said 688 applicants applied for flats and 27 for penthouses through the online process till 8 pm on the last day on Monday. The authority will allot the units through a transparent lottery system and announce the date soon. It will offer 300 3BHK-plus-study flats, each measuring around 2,100 square feet. Prices for flats will start from Rs 1.41 crore. LDA will also build 12 penthouses, each spread over nearly 4,000 square feet, with prices starting from Rs.2.8 crore.
The project site is close to Shaheed Path, Ekana Cricket Stadium, ensuring strong connectivity and premium surroundings. The LDA will execute the project at an estimated cost of Rs.330 crore. Officials aim to complete construction within three years and hand over possession within five years. The apartment will feature a gym, swimming pool, clubhouse, park, kids' play area, power backup, and parking space for over 500 vehicles....
