647 schools yet to submit info for 2027 UP Board exam centre allocation
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 14 -- The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) is yet to receive infrastructure verification reports of 647 schools as part of the process to determine examination centres for the 2027 high school and intermediate board examinations.
Under the examination centre allocation policy, principals were required to upload details of infrastructure, physical resources and other basic facilities available at their schools on the UP Board website by July 20. The information was to be physically verified by a tehsil-level committee constituted by the district magistrate by August 3, following which district inspectors of schools (DIoSs) were required to upload the verification reports by August 10.
However, as of August 13, details of only 28,535 of the 29,182 schools linked with the UP Board had been uploaded, leaving 647 schools yet to submit the required information through the DIOS, shared a senior board official.
The delay comes ahead of the next stage of the centre allocation process. The UP Board is scheduled to publish the list of selected examination centres online by August 17. The DIOSs will subsequently upload the list on their respective portals by August 18 and invite objections from students, parents, principals and school managers until August 22.
After disposing of the objections, the district-level committee will approve the final report, which the DIOS will upload on the UP Board portal by September 1.
UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh said that all DIOSs have been instructed to upload desired information at the earliest.
The UP Board has allowed schools to make corrections in photographs and signatures uploaded during the online advance registration of students enrolling in Classes 9 and 11.
The board had earlier said that no correction would be allowed once the photograph and signature of a student were uploaded. However, following complaints from schools, the board on Thursday allowed them to make necessary corrections and upload photographs with signatures until August 20, SAID OFFICIALS.
The last date for admission of students in Classes 9 to 12 is August 5. For students studying in Classes 9 and 11, the deadline for depositing the advance registration fee of Rs.40 per student through treasury challan and uploading the payment details and academic information on the board website is midnight on August 25.
Principals will be able to obtain checklists of the details uploaded online and verify students' names, parents' names, dates of birth, gender, subjects, photographs and other information between August 26 and September 5. Necessary corrections and updates can then be made between September 6 and 20....
