AGRA, Aug. 30 -- A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 63-year-old mother in an inebriated condition in a village under the Sikandra Rao Kotwali area here in Hathras, police said on Saturday. A case was registered on the complaint of the accused's elder brother, who alleged the incident took place around 9 pm on August 27 when their mother was sleeping at home, officials said. According Amit Pathak, deputy superintendent of police (DSP), for Sikandrarau circle of Hathras district, the accused was arrested on Saturday and the woman was sent to the district hospital for medical examination. "The accused allegedly returned home under the influence of alcohol on the night of August 27. She tied the limbs of his mother and gagged her while she was asleep before raping her. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail after being produced in a local court," the DSP said. Police said the matter was being investigated and further legal action would be taken based on the findings....
