PRAYAGRAJ, June 25 -- A 60-year-old woman was electrocuted while trying to unplug an air cooler at her home in Rahvai village under the Nai Bazar Bahariya area in Prayagraj on Wednesday morning. According to family members, Sunita had just woken up and went to switch off and unplug the running cooler. As she pulled the plug from the power socket, she came in contact with a damaged wire and received a severe electric shock. She immediately fell unconscious. Alarmed by the incident, family members rushed her to the Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. After receiving information from the CHC, Sub-Inspector Manoj Rai reached the hospital, conducted an inquest into the death and completed the necessary legal formalities.
