PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 1 -- A 55-year-old doctor died after the concrete roof of his room collapsed on him while he was asleep at his house in Barhupur village on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Ramkumar Verma, who practised as a doctor. According to family members, Verma had dinner on Tuesday night and went to sleep in his room, while other family members slept in another room. His son, Bhanu Pratap Verma, was studying on the veranda outside the room. Around 10pm, Bhanu heard a loud noise and rushed inside. He found that the concrete roof had collapsed, trapping his father under the debris. Hearing his cries, other family members and neighbours rushed to the spot and began removing the rubble. After considerable effort, he was pulled out and rushed to the medical college, where he was declared dead. Police reached the spot after being informed and sent the body for post-mortem examination....
