LUCKNOW, Sept. 6 -- Four Delhi-bound flights were diverted to Lucknow airport on Saturday evening after heavy rain and adverse weather conditions disrupted flight operations in Delhi-NCR. The diversions provided a temporary landing point for flights that were unable to land at Delhi airport. The diverted flights included IndiGo-operated QP 1821 from Bengaluru, which landed at Lucknow at 4.37pm. Three Air India flights were also diverted. These were AI 484 from Ludhiana, AI 2516 from Indore and AI 2541 from Hyderabad. They landed at Lucknow at 4.50pm, 4.58pm and 5.06pm, respectively. Of these, AI 484 later departed Lucknow at 5.51pm. The other three diverted flights remained at Lucknow airport as of the latest update. The disruption was caused by heavy rain and adverse weather over Delhi-NCR, which affected flight operations at Delhi airport.
