312 candidates get appointment letters
LUCKNOW, May 24 -- A total of 312 candidates received appointment letters at the 19th Rozgar Mela held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan (IGP) in Lucknow on Saturday, including 198 recruits who joined the Indian Railways.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 newly recruited candidates across the country through video conferencing as part of the Rozgar Mela initiative organised at 47 locations nationwide.
Union minister of state (MoS) BL Verma said the programme reflected the Centre's focus on employment generation. "Today along with Lucknow, these appointment letters have been distributed at 47 locations across the country, providing employment to more than 51,000 people. I am grateful to the Prime Minister for this," he said.
Verma also said India witnessed comparatively low inflation during global crises and war-like situations under the Prime Minister's leadership.
The newly recruited candidates will join various central government ministries and departments, including the ministry of railways, ministry of home affairs, ministry of health and family welfare, department of financial services and department of higher education....
