3 missing Gonda girls found at Lko station
Lucknow, Sept. 16 -- Three girls from Gonda, who had travelled to Lucknow after visiting a village fair without informing their families, were found at Gomti Nagar railway station late Monday night.
They were handed over to the Itiyathok police and a family member early Tuesday. The three, aged 18 and 19, were noticed by RPF personnel near the eastern foot overbridge on platform 1 around 9pm. A woman constable approached them after finding them apparently frightened and questioned them.
During the interaction, the girls said they were residents of Bhatpurwa village in Itiyathok area of Gonda and had gone to a fair near their village. They said they later hired a car to travel to Lucknow and the driver dropped them near Gomti Nagar railway station before leaving.
The girls told the RPF that their families did not know they had come to Lucknow and that they wanted to return home. The RPF then contacted the SHO of Itiyathok police station, who confirmed that the girls' families had approached police after they went missing....
