3 labourers killed, one injured as shuttering collapses in Vrindavan
Agra, Aug. 22 -- Three labourers were killed and one sustained injuries after shuttering being laid on the fourth floor of an under-construction shopping mall collapsed in Rukmani Vihar, Vrindavan, on Friday morning, officials said.
Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar said two of the deceased were from West Bengal, while the third was from Nepal. One labourer died at the spot, while two others were declared brought dead at a hospital.
The injured labourer, also from West Bengal, was undergoing treatment after being referred to Agra for better medical care. Kumar said the fire department conducted a search operation at the site and found that no one was trapped in the debris.
Kumar and Mathura district magistrate CP Singh reached the spot and supervised the rescue operation. The SSP said teams, including one from the Public Works Department (PWD), were at the site to investigate the incident and ascertain whether there was any negligence. Action will be taken based on the findings of the probe, he added....
