VARANASI, May 12 -- Two people - a woman and her daughter - were killed and a man was critically injured as a Thar jeep rammed into a bike near Bhullanpur under Manduadih police station area in Varanasi on Sunday night, police said. The Thar allegedly dragged the bike for 100 meters. The deceased were identified as Sony Rajbhar, a resident of Benipur village within the Mirzamurad police station area and her five-year-old daughter, Aradhya. The injured man was Manish Rajbhar, Sony's brother-in-law. On Sunday night, the three were returning home on the motorcycle. As they reached near Bhullanpur under the Manduadih police station area, a Thar jeep rammed into their motorcycle. According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so intense that the bike got entangled in the four-wheeler. In an attempt to flee the scene, the driver of the Thar allegedly dragged the motorcycle for approximately 100 meters. The accused driver, also injured in the incident, was rushed to the hospital and is in police custody....
