3 killed, five injured in Agra-Lko expressway crash
AGRA, June 2 -- Three people were killed and five others sustained injuries when a car rammed into a container on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Agra district early on Monday.
The accident occurred around 2 am near Lohari Chowki under Fatehabad police station. Police suspect the driver fell asleep, causing the car to lose control and crash into the container ahead.
Those killed were identified as Sunil Kumar ,36, Shankar Lal ,31, and Preeti ,28. The injured were Pooja, three-year-old Aayan, Raju, Pramila and driver Shoib.
ACP (Fatehabad) Imran Ahmed said the family, originally from Bihar, had visited Ayodhya and was travelling towards Rajasthan via Vrindavan when the accident occurred. Police, UPEIDA and toll plaza staff rescued the injured and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. Traffic was restored after a brief disruption....
