PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 14 -- A 28-year-old man was allegedly murdered and his body stuffed in the boot of his car, which was found abandoned in a field in Mahmadpur village under Manjhanpur police station limits of Kaushambi on Sunday morning, police said. The deceased, identified as Ravi Yadav, a JCB operator, was allegedly bludgeoned to death with bricks and stones. His younger brother accused Ravi's maternal cousins and their associates of killing him over a monetary dispute. Police registered a murder case on the complaint and launched a search for the accused, police said. Ravi, son of Ramkripal Yadav and a resident of Jaitwardih Majra Balipur village under Prayagraj's Tharwai police station, had been staying at his maternal grandparents' house in Yadavpura, Dhumanganj. On Sunday morning, his JCB driver Sandeep Yadav informed the family that Ravi's mobile phone was switched off, causing concern among his relatives. Meanwhile, villagers alerted police after spotting a car parked unattended in a field belonging to Mulayam Yadav in Mahmadpur. During a search, police found Ravi's body in the boot. Documents recovered from the vehicle helped establish his identity, after which his family was informed. Police found severe injuries from bricks and stones on Ravi's head and body. ASP Amita Singh, inspector Vineet Singh and a forensic team also reached the spot. The forensic team collected evidence from the car and surrounding area before the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Based on Vishal's complaint, police registered a murder case against Ravi's maternal cousins Manish and Sandeep Yadav and their associates Ranu Yadav, and Shubham Yadav. Kaushambi SP Satyanarayan Prajapat said, "A murder case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the deceased's brother."...
