PRAYAGRAJ, March 19 -- Amid concerns over delays in LPG cylinder supply and shortage, incidents of black marketing are also now emerging. In a Tuesday night operation, the Supply Department conducted a raid in Sulem Sarai here and seized 27 domestic gas cylinders from a hoarder's residence. The accused managed to flee upon learning of the raid, and an FIR has been registered against him at Dhumanganj Police Station. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by regional food officers Akhilesh Kumar and Arun Kumar raided the house of Ramesh Chandra Kesrawani in Bhola's Sulem Sarai locality. Officials first discovered 11 fully loaded domestic LPG cylinders on a vehicle outside the house. Upon entering the residence, they found an additional 15 cylinders along with a 10-kilogram composite plastic-bodied cylinder. In total, 27 cylinders were seized and secured. District supply officer Sunil Singh confirmed that an FIR has been filed against Kesrawani, who has since absconded. The raid also involved supply inspectors Sukhdev, Durgadatt, Abhishek Kumar Suman, Ajay Kumar Mishra, and Amit Singh. This is the second such operation in as many days....
