The renewed drive focused on removing buffaloes allegedly kept in violation of civic norms. Around 200 buffaloes were removed from the area during the operation, police said. The iron chain allegedly used during the assault was also recovered.
The case involves 27 accused, including 12 named people and several unidentified persons. Police are examining video recordings made during the confrontation.
