LUCKNOW, July 20 -- Two candidates were caught using unfair means during the LLB entrance examination for the 2026-27 session held at the University of Lucknow (second campus) on Sunday, university officials said. The university administration has written to the Janakipuram Extension police, seeking registration of an FIR against both candidates to uphold the sanctity of the examination, a university spokesperson said. A candidate appearing at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) examination centre during the 10.30 am-12 noon shift was allegedly caught wearing smart eyewear inside the examination hall. The invigilator detected the electronic device at around 10.45 am and confiscated it. Another candidate appearing at the Faculty of Law examination centre was allegedly caught using a mobile phone during the examination.
