VARANASI, June 10 -- The ongoing demolition drive for the Dalmandi Road Widening project will continue this week, with 16 additional buildings slated for demolition on Thursday, June 11. To facilitate the operation, the public works department (PWD) mobilised heavy machinery, including Poclain machines and JCBs, to the site on Tuesday. Razing operations for older, dilapidated structures continued throughout the day. According to officials, approximately 80 houses have been cleared to date, with work currently underway on 20 others.
