11 firms vie to shape U.P's proposed new Vidhan Sabha building
LUCKNOW, July 9 -- Around 11 private consultancy firms are in the race to prepare the preliminary survey for the proposed Vidhan Sabha project on the land that once housed Subrata Roy's famed Sahara Shahar in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar area. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has begun scrutinising applications to select the consultant that will prepare the project's blueprint.
The preliminary survey will assess the site's layout, architectural planning, parking requirements, traffic circulation and other structural parameters. Based on the survey findings and the selected consultant's presentation, the Detailed Project Report (DPR), project estimate and overall development plan will be prepared.
LDA is evaluating participating firms and will shortlist five and then three consultants before sending the names to the state government for final selection.
The chosen consultant will prepare the survey and DPR for the proposed 170-acre Vidhan Sabha complex in Gomti Nagar, covering feasibility, land use and infrastructure....
