10 police personnel suspended over negligence, corruption
AGRA:, June 8 -- Police authorities in Aligarh and Mathura have taken disciplinary action against several officers for negligence, indiscipline, corruption and other misconduct.
In Aligarh, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Neeraj Kumar Jadaun suspended seven sub-inspectors and a driver constable following complaints and departmental inquiries. Three of the officers were suspended for negligence in duty, while others faced action over suspicious activities and misconduct.
According to a statement issued by the Aligarh police media cell, sub-inspector Sanjay Yadav and driver constable Rajveer Singh of Roravar police station were suspended for allegedly leaking confidential information from the police station. SI Deepak Kumar, posted at Shahpur Kutub police outpost, was suspended for failing to take timely action on complaints.
SI Rajkumar of Banna Devi police station was suspended over allegations of developing an inappropriate relationship with a woman complainant and making false promises.
Another SI, Deepak Kumar of Sasni Gate police station, faced action for prolonged absence from duty.
SI Rohit Kumar of Lodha police station was suspended for alleged corrupt practices.
SI Rakesh Kashyap of Harduaganj police station was suspended for failing to submit a report in compliance with court orders and allegedly seeking money for the same.
Woman Sub-inspector Payal Maan of Sasni Gate police station was suspended for not reporting back to duty after the expiry of her sanctioned leave and for repeated unauthorised absence.
In Mathura, SSP Shlok Kumar suspended three sub-inspectors and transferred one to the police lines in separate disciplinary actions....
