1,142 LT Grade (PE) applicants disqualified from main exam
PRAYAGRAJ, July 3 -- The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has rejected the applications of 1,142 candidates for the Physical Education subject in the LT Grade (Assistant Teacher/Trained Graduate Teacher) Recruitment-2025, rendering them ineligible for the main examination.
The commission has uploaded the roll numbers of all rejected candidates along with the reasons for their disqualification on its official website, officials confirmed.
The highest number of rejections-645 applications-were on account of invalid certificates and supporting documents submitted to claim eligibility under the category of proficient/outstanding players in nationally or internationally recognised sports.
Another 278 candidates failed to submit any certificates or documents in support of their claim under the same category, leading to the rejection of their applications, officials said.
Besides, the applications of 136 candidates were rejected for failing to submit the hard copy of their online application to the commission by the prescribed deadline of April 24. Forty-two candidates were found ineligible as they did not possess the mandatory BPEd. or BPE qualification, while 11 applicants claiming reservation under the Dependents of Freedom Fighters category failed to furnish the required certificates.
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 267 Physical Education teacher posts in government schools across the state. Of the 34,290 candidates registered for the preliminary examination held on January 18, a total of 22,956 appeared.
The preliminary examination results, declared on March 19, shortlisted 3,858 candidates for the main examination.
However, as the minimum qualifying standard could not produce candidates equivalent to 15 times the number of vacancies, fewer candidates were shortlisted....
