PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 14 -- More than 200 young volunteers and participants attended the second chapter of 'UP Dialogue - A Decade of UP', organised by Friends of UP in Prayagraj on Sunday. Experts at the event discussed the transformations in Uttar Pradesh under the Yogi Adityanath government, particularly concerning law and order, education, investment, employment, infrastructure and tourism. Senior advocate at Allahabad high court Archana Singh noted that improvements in law and order over the past nine-and-a-half years have significantly enhanced women's safety and educational opportunities across the state. Referring to Prayagraj, she recalled that coaching institutes in the city previously faced extortion and intimidation, forcing many competitive exam aspirants to move to Delhi. "After Yogi Adityanath took charge, the new law-and-order framework changed the situation. Coaching institutes reopened and women and girls began feeling safer," she said. Singh added that Prayagraj, once associated with crude bombs and mafia activity, has undergone a transformation and regained its legacy as an education hub. Prof Rajesh Kumar Garg of Allahabad University highlighted the integration of temple and religious tourism into the state's economic framework as one of the major shifts over the past nine to 10 years. He stated that temple corridors and the promotion of religious tourism have provided fresh momentum to the economy, citing record footfall during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh as a primary example. Garg also noted that other states are currently studying and adopting Uttar Pradesh's crowd-management model used during major religious events.
