LUCKNOW, July 31 -- Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday directed all state universities to make the 'Nasha Mukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan' a mass movement and play an active role in achieving the target of drugs-free youth for Viksit Bharat-2047. Chairing a meeting with vice-chancellors of state universities virtually from Jan Bhawan, she reviewed preparations for the virtual interaction proposed to be held on August 2 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said more than one crore youth from around 10,000 locations across the country will join the PM's virtual dialogue and universities must ensure maximum student participation. "A separate meeting with private universities will also be held soon to ensure their effective involvement. The campaign aims to inspire youth to adopt a drug-free lifestyle and contribute to nation building," the governor said. "Teachers and officials should regularly visit campuses and hostels to identify and counsel students showing signs of drug use," she added....
