LUCKNOW, July 27 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will begin operating Green Field Express buses on the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway from Monday, offering passengers a faster road link between the two cities with a travel time of around 1 hour and 45 minutes. The buses will operate from Alambagh Bus Terminal between 7 am and 10 pm, covering the 90-km stretch through the access-controlled expressway. UPSRTC has fixed the fare at Rs.151, taking into account the higher toll charges on the route. Ahead of the launch, all depots have been directed to upload route details, schedules, stoppages and fares into electronic ticketing machines to ensure smooth operations from the first day. Regional manager, UPSRTC, Vimal Rajan, said, "The Green Field Express service has been introduced to provide passengers with a faster and more convenient travel option between Lucknow and Kanpur. We have completed the operational preparations, and buses will begin running from Monday as per the notified schedule." Officials said passengers can also register complaints or share feedback with the Lucknow regional control room by calling 8726005808....
