Lucknow, Aug. 5 -- The Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party have been left with nothing after the party's loss in the Bankipur by-election. He further called the loss as the 'return gift' for the BJP for its 12-year rule. Speaking to reporters on the Parliament premises in Delhi on Tuesday, Yadav said the BJP had treated the by-election as a test of how many votes it could secure without foul play and as a measure of public resentment. He expressed satisfaction over the Datia by-election result in Madhya Pradesh, where voters backed the INDIA alliance candidate, leading to a victory. Yadav noted that Samajwadi Party workers responsibly supported the Congress nominee of the alliance, with the party's organisations in Madhya Pradesh and Jhansi extending all possible assistance....
