Srinagar, Nov. 3 -- CPM general secretary and MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday said that many people who are relatives of those allegedly involved in militancy have been facing difficulties in police verification. Security clearance should not be denied in such cases, he said, while calling for a review of the Crime Investigation Department's (CID) verification process. "The high court has, in several cases, ruled that a person cannot be denied security clearance because of the alleged involvement of their relatives in militancy-related activities," the Kulgam MLA said.
