Dharamshala, Sept. 10 -- A pilgrim and a langar worker died during the ongoing Manimahesh Yatra in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, officials said on Wednesday. The deceased pilgrim, a resident of Ambala in Haryana, was travelling with four friends. Preliminary investigations suggest that he died of cardiac arrest. Officials said he had earlier undergone a cardiac procedure and had stents. The annual Manimahesh Yatra officially began on September 4 and will continue until September 19. Bharmour additional district magistrate (ADM) Vikas Sharma said the pilgrim died on Tuesday and his post-mortem was conducted. "He apparently died of a heart attack, and there was nothing suspicious about his death," he said.
