Sukhu, governor pay tributes to Virbhadra Singh on birth anniv
Dharamshala, June 24 -- Chief minister (CM) Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday paid floral tributes to former six-time Himachal CM late Virbhadra Singh at The Ridge, Shimla, on his birth anniversary and remembered the valuable contributions made by the former CM for the state's development.
"Virbhadra Singh was a great Congress leader who served the state six times as CM. He contributed greatly to the development of all parts of the state, and we remember his immense contributions today," said Sukhu.
Speaker of the Himachal Vidhan Sabha, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, revenue minister Jagat Singh Negi, and public works minister Vikramaditya Singh also offered floral tributes to the former CM.
Himachal governor Kavinder Gupta paying tributes to the former CM described him as a towering political figure whose contribution extended beyond the state to the national level.
Speaking to media persons after paying tribute, Gupta said Virbhadra Singh was not only a prominent leader of Himachal Pradesh but also one of the most respected personalities in Indian politics....
