Stepfather kills minor son in Jammu's Bishnah
Jammu, Aug. 7 -- A man allegedly bludgeoned his minor stepson to death and hid his body in the Palli area of Bishnah in Jammu district, officials said on Thursday.
The accused identified as Ravi Kumar, a mason by profession, allegedly hit his --year-old stepson with a brick, officials added.
Bishnah police station house officer, inspector Deepak Thakur, said, "The accused has confessed to his crime and we have recovered the dead body of his step son from bushes in Palli area."
A murder case has been registered and investigations taken up, the police added.
"My wife had betrayed me. I took revenge from her," accused said.
Victim's mother, a worker at a pencil factory in Bari Brahmana industrial estate, said that her husband had heated arguments with her younger sister a day before.
"I was away at the factory when Ravi Kumar came home around 4 pm on Wednesday and lured my son on the pretext of a ride. When he didn't return home till 9 pm, we reported the matter to the police, but they didn't take any cognisance," she said.
"Had the police took our complaint seriously and searched my son, he would have been alive today," she added....
