Jammu, April 5 -- Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Saturday adjourned the House sine die. Earlier, he directed the government to take the corrective measures to maintain the dignity, privilege and protocol of the members of legislative assembly. The directions were issued while concluding the short duration discussion on the last day of Assembly session. MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta initiated the discussion on privileges, dignity and protocol of the august house and members during short duration discussion. He said that the dignity of the MLAs have been compromised. He also pointed out that MLAs are not taken into confidence while drafting the development plans of their respective constituencies. Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary assured the members that the dignity of the members is our prime concern.
