Search ops conducted at houses in Baramulla
Srinagar, July 16 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday conducted searches near Line of Control in the houses of those people who are living in Pakistan, officials said.
The police in northern district of Baramulla said that as part of their sustained efforts to maintain peace, public order, and security in the district, they conducted search operations at the residential houses of Jammu & Kashmir (residents) living in Pakistan (POK), their family residences, and other closely associated premises in the village of Bagna Bijhama in Uri.
"The searches were carried out strictly in accordance with due legal procedure. The operations were conducted in a professional and orderly manner, with due regard to legal safeguards. No incriminating material was recovered during the searches," a police spokesperson said.
"The cooperation extended by local residents during the operation is sincerely appreciated," the spokesperson said....
