Srinagar, July 16 -- The meteorological centre in Srinagar on Wednesday predicted five days ofintermittent rains from Saturday. The meteorological department said that the weather will be hot & humid till Friday with possibility of brief spell of rain and thundershowers at few places. However, from Saturday, there are chances of moderate rainfall. "July 18 and 19 will be partly cloudy with a spell of light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places with brief intense heavy showers at isolated places of Jammu Division," a MeT update said. July 20-23 is also expected to witness moderate to heavy rain in a few districts of Kashmir & Jammu divisions. " There is a possibility of heavy rainfall with brief intense heavy showers during 18th late night/19 morning & during July 20-22 at few districts towards late afternoon hours and late night/morning hours," the update said. The rains may trigger flashfloods, landslides and mudslides at few vulnerableplaces of Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal Range & few hilly areas of Kashmir division on July 20-22. " There are chances of water logging in low lying areas," the update said....
