Srinagar, June 14 -- Army apprehended a Pakistani national who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) at village Simri in the Tangdhar sector, officials said on Saturday. The arrested person has been identified as Assad Khan, son of Janzib Khan, of Muzaffarabad in PoK. He is the second Pakistani national arrested in north Kashmir this month. Earlier, a minor from Pakistan was arrested at Uri after also crossing the Line of Control (LoC). The Army's Chinar Corps said the person was apprehended following specific intelligence. "Based on specific intelligence input, alert #ChinarWarriors, in a joint operation with @JmuKmrPolice, apprehended a Pak national near Simri village, Kupwara, on Jun 12, who had crossed the Line of Control under suspicious circumstances. Acting swiftly, the vigilant joint team of #ChinarWarriors and #JmuKmrPolice intercepted the individual and prevented any potential security breach.
