Mughal road to reopen for traffic from today
Jammu, Feb. 27 -- Mughal road will be opened for vehicular traffic from Friday, subject to fair weather and security clearance, officials of Poonch district administration informed.
The order, issued by the office of Poonch district magistrate said, "In view of the clearance of snow accumulation from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali stretch on Mughal Road (NH-701A), and pursuant to the recommendation for its opening as conveyed by the Officer Commanding, 79 RCC (GREF), it is hereby ordered that the movement of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVS) shall be allowed on Mughal Road from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali with effect from February 27 between 11 am and 3 am only, subject to fair weather conditions and absence of any unforeseen exigencies.
Besides, the senior superintendent of police, Poonch, and the senior superintendent of police, Traffic Rural, Jammu shall deploy sufficient personnel at Behramgalla, Bufliaz, and Poshana check posts to ensure smooth regulation of traffic, strict compliance with this order, and adherence to the notified timings.
Commuters are advised to plan their travel strictly in accordance with traffic advisories issued by the traffic police in this regard....
